AYURVEDIC WELLNESS STUDIO

This 440-square-foot tenant improvement project transforms a dark, underutilized office suite into a serene Ayurveda and alternate healing center. The goal was to create a calming, functional clinical environment while guiding the client through landlord coordination and city permitting approvals.

The Challenge

The existing office felt enclosed and uninspiring, with limited natural light and a cramped layout. The space needed to accommodate a waiting area, reception, consultation room, massage therapy room, and herb mixing and storage — all within a compact footprint.

Design Strategy

Key elements include:

  • Opening the floor plan to improve light and spatial flow
  • Prioritizing natural light to create an airy, restorative atmosphere
  • A soothing material palette to support a calming patient experience
  • Clearly defined circulation between reception, treatment, and consultation areas
  • Full coordination of landlord approvals and city permits

Every design decision focused on enhancing patient comfort while maximizing functionality within the 440 sf tenant space.

Outcome

The result is a thoughtfully designed alternate healing clinic that feels bright, welcoming, and intentional. Through careful planning and seamless permit management, the former office suite was transformed into a functional wellness center that supports both patient well-being and operational efficiency.
