SEAMLESS ADDITION

This project focused on a thoughtfully designed first floor bedroom addition to support multigenerational living. Located within a modern planned development with tight lot divisions, the goal was to create an accessible, comfortable space for the homeowner’s aging parents while preserving the integrity of the existing architecture.

Expanding on a compact site required careful planning. Setback limitations initially made the addition feel nearly impossible, but through detailed site analysis and coordination with city planners, we identified a path forward that allowed the project to move ahead responsibly and efficiently.

Equally important was ensuring the new space felt completely integrated. The existing home featured strong contemporary architectural details, so the addition was designed to match the original materials, proportions, and finishes with precision. Every transition was carefully studied to create a seamless connection between old and new construction.

The result is a first floor bedroom addition that feels as though it has always been part of the home. The new space provides comfort, accessibility, and long term flexibility for aging in place, while maintaining the clean architectural character of the original residence. It reflects our approach to custom home additions, where thoughtful design and technical expertise come together to create spaces that truly support everyday life.
